Sculpture Interventive Treatments
Once we have made an initial assessment of the condition and agreed conservation treatments with the client, our team can begin the conservation work on the sculpture. We aim to use materials that are compatible with the sculpture and reversible treatments wherever possible.
Taylor Pearce work on a broad spectrum of sculpture and all types of materials - stone, plaster, ceramic, cast & fired materials (including terracotta & Coade stone), wood, metal, plastic and other synthetic materials.
Conservation treatments are many and varied but can include:
Cleaning, removal of old repairs, treating or removing corroded fixings, consolidation of fragile surfaces layers, repairs to fill fissures or losses, replacement of missing parts, retouching or gilding losses to coatings, application of protective coatings.
